Mark Blum, who played the Dick Jensen in the 2000 revival of “The Best Man,” is replacing Michael McKean who was injured, via TheatreMania:

Obie Award winner Mark Blum will permanently take over the role of Dick Jensen in the Broadway production of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, beginning Tuesday, June 5.

The role was originated for this revival by actor Michael McKean who as recently reported, was injured when struck by a car at the intersection of West 86th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side. As previously reported, James Lecesne, who plays Mitch Graham, a reporter from the Washington Post in the show, had stepped in to McKean’s role following the latter’s injury.
